People met on my backpacking130 – heroes are never alone

.

a little further down, the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. There are many Europeans, Americans, Canadians, and Australians captured by the Japanese military on the Southeast Asian battlefield during World War II. The 7,000 U.N. prisoners died of malnutrition, exhaustion, overwork and illness after being put into the construction of the 415km railway between Thailand and Myanmar in the worst conditions called the "Death Railway."

.

After breakfast, I took a walk alone around the neighborhood and unwittingly headed for the Allied cemetery. I almost habitually visit the Allied cemetery when I come to Kanchana Buri. Because this place is also directly related to the history of Korea. When I come here, I renew my mind. I won't repeat the disgraceful history. This is also the order of the brave patriotic warriors of the free spirit who are here in eternity. I salute them. I am extremely grateful and sorry. If it were not for their noble sacrifice, would today's ROK have been born? What about myself?

.

.

My mind like this is always the same whenever and wherever. At the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan, in front of the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, and Britain, 21 countries that participated in the Korean War, including five medical support countries, set up monuments in Korea. Once again, I bow my head to their families, as well as the valiant UN forces, who have sacrificed their precious lives for the freedom and independence of the people of the world.

.

I hope our Korean tourists visit this place a lot, too. In fact, there are always many Western tourists here. British, American, Australian, Holland, French, etc. The difference from the past is that there are also some non-Westerners such as Indians. In comparison, there are few Koreans. By any chance, this phenomenon is the self-defense of each country, the spirit of samurai, and the view of history. It may be in direct proportion to the level of national consciousness in the country. If so, it could be a serious problem. It's because the history of shame must be repeated for the people who have not learned a lesson from history.

.

.
