What I¡¯m thinking about(31) - at the Kimpo Airport

Yesterday (24.8.29), I went to Gimpo Airport for lunch with my wife. We met and spoke with folks from six different nations. When I ride Subway Line No. 9 to the airport, whether it's Gimpo or Incheon, I always see plenty of travel baggage in the corridor. I feel terrific. The fact that there are so many tourists from within and thr over the world shows that Korea is still alive and strong.

When I arrive at Gimpo Airport, I am once again amazed by the large number of passengers. This is impossible in impoverished countries. That does not imply that individuals in wealthy nations travel much. There are those that live in a small well regardless of their financial situation. On the other hand, some people escape to the outside world whenever they get the opportunity. Well, I think it seems to be an individual's temperament and national character.

At the same time, I observe their clothing and facial expressions. I can predict their travel experiences and tastes. If they're seated next to me, I ask. 'Which country are you going to?' Korean backpacks are rarely seen. Foreigners occasionally carry huge bags. At that point, I ask, 'You must be a backpacker.' I also do a lot of backpacking. Of course, today I can't carry such large bags.' Like this, I approach them first, especially when I notice travelers for a while. This is a fun moment.

I met folks from all six nations and spoke with them initially. Some wander about a convenience shop, some wander about not knowing where or how to get on an airport bus, some wander about seeking for a corridor from an international terminal to a domestic terminal, some wander about in an elevator, some wander about on a moving walkway, and so on. (*I know how helpful locals are for me when I'm walking around in a foreign nation, so I approach foreigners in such situation in Korea.)

Thanks for reading.
