What I¡¯m thinking of 8 - Discovering Japanese power in their hot spring

What I'm about to tell you today is what I witnessed in an open-air hot spring in Sapporo. When I think of an open-air hot spring, I picture a variety of locations. I've visited hot springs in a variety of nations, including New Zealand, Taiwan, Kinabalu, Turkey, Finland, Hungary, and Peru. The most remarkable of these is Machu Picchu's Hot Spring. It was located in a steep valley approximately 1 kilometer from Machu Picchu Station. In 1997, there were no tourists in the Machu Picchu Valley. It was a spot where folks could bath and cure their weariness at 50 degrees Celsius. It was the same the second time I visited there (2002). Trains, buses, lodgings, and natural valley hot springs all changed.

.

Japanese hot springs are almost identical to Betfu hot springs in Oita (1989). Except for a few hotel hot springs, the majority of hot springs maintain their original facilities and environment. So is Sapporo hot spring, which will be unveiled today. But the atmosphere was different. There were perhaps 20 people in the outdoor hot spring. They were sitting in the hot spring as if they had scheduled an appointment, shutting their eyes. Meditation? Prayer? Reflection? Ambition? Challenge? What¡¯s that mean? The mood was pure adoration. Then I saw a little slogan in a hot spring spa. "ÙíëòÐÆ ªÎ ÷·'

.

The significance of 'ÙíëòÐÆ ªÎ ÷·' used to be, "This is a place where the mind and body rest in peace and let go of all the worry obsession." I recall saying something about the Japanese at the moment. It was their spiritual culture. * The Chrysanthem and the Sword * The two inner and outer minds * Practicalism that values military and commerce over academics * Don't bother others * Live by the rules and die by the rules * Good things get drunk unconditionally * Losing a fight but failing to learn from the winner is a disgrace * Exploration, spirit, etc.

Meanwhile, it appeared serious that the Japanese were silently shutting their eyes and stiffening their lips. It seemed to make the world nervous. In reality, the entire world (except for Korea), including the USA, cannot treat Japan lightly. N. Korea, China, and Russia can freely fly in and out of Korean land, territorial waters, and airspace, but they cannot do so against Japan. They fight back instantly. The Japanese Navy happily shares the right to cruise in the S. China Sea with the USA. The Japanese Navy has stated that it will join the USA in the case of an invasion of Taiwan from China. Japan has earned 29 Nobel Prizes (12 in physics, 8 in chemistry, 5 in medicine, and 3 in literature).

Japan is a scientific powerhouse. Its roots go deep. It relates to Oda Nobunaga's Battle of Nagashino. He utilized firearms for the first time in warfare. He won. He is a symbol of creativity who pioneered the scientific period. He was aware that science decides the outcome of a war. The spirit lives on until now. Japan's Nobel Prize winners demonstrate this. It is impossible without fundamental science. This is why they developed, and safeguarded scientific potential. The humanities were the first army deployed in the Pacific War. Literary and artistic professionals, such as poets, authors, critics, and athletes, were only required during times of peace, not war. War does not involve battling with words and faces.

Korea is still in the grip of the Joseon Dynasty, which is riddled with phony academics. It has no Nobel Prizes. It possesses neither fundamental science nor cutting-edge technology. The USA and Japan have the most unique technology. From the Joseon Dynasty until the present, Korea always spoke of peace. Meanwhile, Japan was developing basic science. Then Japan became the governing power, and Korea was under authority. There are many physicians who merely want money, but there are no true medicine-scientists. The president closed nuclear power facilities and disparaged technical areas, which are the most essential resources. Nevertheless, Koreans do not resist or become furious.

Why do N. Korea, China, and Russia, in particular, believe S. Korea is an easy target? They noticed the Koreans merely wanted peace and had no desire to fight. The reason N. Korea, China, and Russia can't invade Japan is simple. They are aware that Japan will fight back swiftly. (Sino-Japanese War, Russo-Japanese War, and Pacific War). Yes, a dog that silently looks for an opportunity is scarier than one that howls loudly. I've now observed the unchanging law in an open-air bath here in Sapporo. "ÙíëòÐÆ ªÎ ÷·." Their expressions were serious as they quietly closed their eyes and mouths.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you to the two persons who kindly commented on my post. Our warriors should never be overlooked by our people, the Koreans. The whole country appreciates the morale and honor of its military. Otherwise, their country will ultimately lose the battle. Finally, all citizens end up living terrible lives. This means that everyone becomes a slave.
Thanks a lot. Have a great day.
