오늘 유엔개발계획(UNDP) 기구가 발표한 인간개발지수 랭킹을 보면 한국은 작년보다 2단계 높아져 26위가 되었다. 2004년 자료를 근거로 매긴 순위인데 흔히 삶의 질 랭킹이라고 불린다. 국민소득, 교육, 생활상태 등을 종합한 순위이다. 1위, 즉 세계에서 가장 살기 좋은 나라는 노르웨이로 꼽혔다. 이어서 아이슬란드, 호주, 아일란드, 스웨덴, 캐나다, 일본, 미국, 스위스, 네덜란드 차례이다. 아시아 국가는 일본을 비롯하여 홍콩, 이스라엘, 싱가포르가 우리보다 앞섰다.

종합평점이 0.9를 넘으면 선진국인데 한국은 0.912점이었다. 1975년 이후 약30년간 세계에서 삶의 질을 가장 많이 향상시킨 것이 한국으로 나나타났다. 우리보다 앞에 있는 나라는 거의 전부가 유럽 및 유럽사람들이 개척한 나라이다. 노무현 정권은 대한민국을 태어나선 안될 나라였던 것처럼 저주를 하고 있으나 나라는 이렇게 발전했다. 개는 짖어도 기차는 달렸다. 이런 위대한 발전을 한 대한민국과 그 발전을 선도했던 이승만, 박정희, 그리고 기성세대와 이 발전을 엄호했던 미국에 대해서 고마워할 줄 모르는 것이 이런 발전에 훼방만 놓았던 노무현과 그 일당이다. 이들이 조국을 저주해온 행위에 대하여서는 대한민국이 잊지 않고 있다가 이들에 대한 저주로 복수하고 말 것이다.

아래 통계를 보고 있으면 우크라이나나 아시아 여러 나라들처럼 삶의 질이 후퇴한 나라도 있다. 북한은 통계를 내지 않아 랭킹에서 빠졌는데 아마도 후퇴한 나라일 것이다. 지도자를 잘못 선택하면 그런 험한 꼴을 보게 된다.
